Residential Parking Permits

Residents must use the link above to apply.

It is crucial that you DO NOT submit an application until you receive an official letter from the Borough specifically notifying you that we have reached your street.

Submissions made prior to receiving this notification will be DENIED. Please adhere to this directive to ensure an organized roll-out and avoid any unnecessary complications.

The following documents are needed in order to qualify for our Parking Program.  Applications will NOT be approved without ALL of these below documents submitted at time of submittal:

  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License (not expired) MUST match the Wallington address in which resident is applying for
  • Valid New Jersey Vehicle Registration (not expired) MUST match the Wallington address in which resident is applying for
  • Valid New Jersey Vehicle Insurance Card(not expired) MUST match the Wallington address in which resident is applying for
  • Valid deed for homeowners with applicant’s name listed on it (tenants CANNOT submit the deed)
  • Valid lease agreement or rental agreement with ALL tenant’s name listed on it  (must not expired) Landlord affidavit's are NOT acceptable and will be denied.
  •  A copy of a signed Rental Residential Certificate of Occupancy issued to the homeowner by the Borough of Wallington’s Fire Prevention Department. This CO is not the same as Fire Inspection CO or COO. Homeowners need to contact Fire Prevention to set up an appointment for this inspection - please call (973) 777-0318 ext. 777.

ALL required documents must be uploaded with the application.  Any missing documents that are not available at the time of application are to be emailed directly to: [email protected] in order to have application approved. 

On average, the process takes 3 to 5 business days starting from the day after all required documents are received.  Once the application has been processed, an email will be sent to the email address that was provided in the application.

  • Hayward Place (Passaic River to Locust Avenue)
  • Johnson Avenue (Entire)
  • Krug Court (Entire)
  • Lester Street (Entire)
  • Main Avenue (Entire)
  • Maple Avenue (Passaic River to Locust Avenue)
  • Marilyn Court (Entire)
  • Mercer Street (Entire)
  • Parkway (Entire)
  • Paterson Avenue (Main Avenue to Locust Avenue)
