Susanne Preinfalk
Councilwoman Susanne Preinfalk serves as Ex-officio/President of the Veterans Memorial Library Board of Trustees, where she has been instrumental in the development of the new Veterans Memorial Library, expected to be completed in March of 2024. She also serves as liaison to the Wallington Board of Education, and as a member of the Board of Education subcommittee. Susanne additionally serves as chair of the personnel committee and of Veterans affairs, and leads communications & social media for the Borough.
Mrs. Preinfalk began serving the Wallington community as President of the Wallington Elementary PTA. During her tenure, she spearheaded a wealth of new programs for our schools and led the charge to create all-new community-based events, providing valuable programs for students and support for teachers and classrooms. Once elected to the council, she continued to build on that success, focusing her energies on developing programs for community engagement. She has successfully developed many new, (and now annual) community programs including the Holiday Festival, the Fall Festival with WPD Touch-A-Truck, and the Summer Concert series.
Councilwoman Preinfalk earned her BFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and is the principal and owner of SPD Studio, a graphic design practice dedicated to developing marketing collateral for clients in the fields of both nonprofit and B to B. She donates her time and talents as a designer to multitude of community projects, including Wallington’s ‘Our Town’ Newsletter.
A resident and homeowner since 2005, she is married to her husband, Christoph. They have three sons —Andreas, a graduate of WHS and engineering major at NJIT; and twins, Silas and Willem, who currently attend Wallington Jr./Sr. High School.
