Beata Balik
Councilwoman Beata Balik serves as the liaison to the rent leveling board, working with both residents and the governing body to help ensure that renters are treated fairly. As Chairperson of the flood commission, Councilwoman Balik helps to serve residents by working toward finding solutions to improve outcomes in the most flood prone areas of town. Councilwoman Balik additionally serves as team leader of the Lead paint remediation initiative.
A dedicated Wallington resident, Beata has been living here since 2000, when she moved from Poland. She is a graduate of Wallington Jr/Sr High School, and continued her education at the Cittone Institute, earning her degree as a medical assistant in 2006. She is currently employed by Centers Laboratory, working with Dr. Tadeusz Pyz in Wallington.
Beata is an active volunteer, dedicating her time as a teacher at the Saturday Polish School Polska Szkoła im. Kazimierza Pułaskiego in Garfield. She additionally volunteers her time for the Wallington Elementary PTA. She is married to her husband, Arkadiusz, and they are parents of two boys, Alan, age 13, and Eryk age 10, who are both students attending Wallington Public Schools.
