PUBLIC NOTICE
REORGANIZATION MEETING AND SPECIAL MEETING
HOUSING ELEMENT AND FAIR SHARE PLAN PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Borough of Wallington, County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, will convene its Annual Reorganization Meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., prevailing time, at the Wallington Civic Center, 24 Union Boulevard, Wallington, New Jersey 07057.

Formal action may be taken at the Reorganization Meeting.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that immediately following the Reorganization Meeting, the Planning Board will conduct a Special Meeting and Public Hearing to consider and review the Borough’s proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan pursuant to the Municipal Land Use Law, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.

The Housing Element and Fair Share Plan has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Land Use Law, including N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28(b)(3) and N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28.1, and the New Jersey Fair Housing Act, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-301 et seq., and sets forth the Borough’s plan to address its present and prospective affordable housing obligations consistent with applicable constitutional and statutory requirements.

At the public hearing, all interested parties shall be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan. Following the public hearing, the Planning Board may adopt the Housing Element and Fair Share Plan and provide its adopted Plan to the Mayor and Council for further action as required by law.

A copy of the proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan is on file and available for public inspection during normal business hours in the Office of the Borough Clerk, Wallington Civic Center, 24 Union Boulevard, Wallington, New Jersey 07057.

Formal action may be taken at the Special Meeting. An Executive Session may be held if necessary.

This notice is given pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., the Municipal Land Use Law, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq., including N.J.S.A. 40:55D-13, and other applicable law.
